PC and Server Performance Tuning

CIAView: PC Performance Tuning The key to good system performance is to measure and identify resource usage. CIAView is a software tool that is indispensable for those who need to control the behaviour of their Windows computer systems.

CIAView provides a real-time and offline overview of all activity on a Network of PCs and Servers. It makes it easy to diagnose the cause of any problem or bottleneck in the finite resources of Processor, Memory, Disk, and Network.

CIAView shows at a glance which processes are active and the CPU hogs that have a high overhead. The process culprits that have a high number of Reads and Writes or Memory activity are easily spotted. You will be able to have a bird's eye view of the most active local Disk Drives, Memory pressure and Network package activity.

It will be easy to recognise if new Software, a Windows Update, a Windows process, a Firewall or your Anti-Virus checker is degrading performance.

Daily log files record all activity. Process analysis, capacity planning and Bottleneck spotting can be done offline at any time.

The Features of CIAView

Memory – CIAView shows the rate that data is being swapped into Memory or out to disk. This indicator will soon show up Memory inadequacies and overloads.
Disk I/O – CIAView will indicate the efficiency of Processes in reading or writing to a Disk. It will also show if your Disk drives are in balance, and which are bottlenecks.
CPU usage – CIAView will show the total CPU usage, and how much spare capacity is available.
Processes – CIAView shows a list of all active Processes, running on the computer. It is easy to determine the processes that are the greatest CPU Hogs and with the greatest Memory and Disk I/O overhead.
System Response Time – The time taken to show the results is displayed on each scan. This is a good indication of the efficiency of the Client/Server system.
Networking – Shows the number of Packets per second Sent and Received.
